We had a chance to stop and see some of the buildings and monuments at night when we visited Washington, DC. Not all of my pictures came out that great so this is what actually turned out the best.

Capital Building, Washington, DC

Most of the time we actually thought this was the White House. I guess because it is the most recognizable building but it is actually the capital building. Read more on the Capital website.

It rained the whole weekend so I got this gray and gloom picture during the day and then others are night when it stopped raining.

This is the Lincoln Memorial. It sits at the far end of the very long lawn that the Capital building sits on. It is spectacular at night. We didn't actually get a chance to go inside. We just viewed it from afar. That will have to wait for another trip. Read more on the Lincoln Memorial website.
